From Our Correspondent,
Member of parliament for Ketu North Hon. James Klutse Avedzi has advised politicians to run an issues based campaign devoid of insults ahead of the general elections in December.
According to him the insults and acrimony characterizing the ongoing political campaigns had the tendency of plunging the country into chaos if care is not taken.
Dr. Avedzi was speaking in an interview on Revival FM a local radio station at Tedzewu near Dzodze in the Volta region monitored by Volta Forum. He decried the situation where politicians without messages for the people resort to the use of abusive language.
Just to tarnish the image of their opponents and to score cheap political points adding that Ghanaians should read in between the lines and vote for persons with the track record of changing the fortunes of the masses.
The long time MP who is also the chairman of the public accounts committee of parliament appealed to the good people of Ketu North to give him another resounding victory in the December polls in order to continue the good work he is noted for in the constituency.
He also urged all Ghanaians to vote massively for the National Democratic Congress so as to return former president Mahama into office to do even more for the people of our dear nation Ghana.
Hon. Avedzi said the NDC was determined to implement all of its manifesto promises when voted back into office with the creation of sustainable jobs for the youth which he says was dear to the NDCs flag bearer and his running mate.
